The club was founded by Ben Dutton and Micheal Ryan in 2013 and started as a just a winter league club due to a previous club we both fished for only fished from April till end of sept/oct so my self and Micheal decided we should set up a club just for winter to fill the fishing gap, after a very hard but extremely successful winter league.

We had 14 members that fished for us that first year and we still have 12 of those original members with us now. We decided on 2 names for the club that first year by a flip of a coin with the two names being lake snakes ac and hook a duck ac, as u can see we was not 100% serious with naming the club and just thought it would be a flash in the pan being just a winter league.

For the next 3 years we carried on as just a winter league outfit filling in the gap between summer, so lads could fish all year round but with huge surprise popularity grew in the club very fast like I said 14 members the 1st year to 22 members the 2nd year people/anglers all over Nottingham was hearing about us and wanted to fish for us association came from Gerrys of Nottingham with lake snakes ac, club clothing and there brand was splashed all over it in which we thank Justin Hankins and staff at Gerrys of Nottingham they do more for our club then we could of ever wished for.

The club became so popular though social media and word of mouth that I was having a to turn lads away on a weekly basis asking to join the club. Due to being just a winter league. Now in 2017 the club is a full time summer league and winter league club fishing all year round including team matches as well we are a extremely competitive club with some extremely talented anglers, difference with our club though is all of the lads enjoy their fishing and will alway help anyone out, regardless of ability.

The club always have time for others, maybe their new to the sport and don’t have a new shiny rive box or a Daiwa air pole ect if your willing to learn and can enjoy fishing and banter at great levels your welcome to a trial with us but there is a waiting list, we fish all over the country and enjoy all different aspects of fishing not just noddy venues.

I’m extremely proud of this club and the lads that are in and help run this club and I hope that in 20 years time we are still together and enjoy what has so far been a fantastic ride. Thanks for sticking by the club lads.
